I was born at Camp
Pendleton, California in 1964, the middle child in a career Marine family. When my father retired from the Marines in
1978 he packed up his wife, five kids, a dog named Gunny and a cat named Leo, and transplanted us from sunny California to
snowy Missouri.
I adapted to rural life easily, as though I was always destined
to be a country girl. Today I live in beautiful rural Missouri -- my little piece of heaven with 5 acres and a
small house surrounded by a national forest and a state riverway. I share my abode with 2 rescued dogs and 5 rescued
cats and enjoy frequent visits from my two daughters and my two beautiful granddaughters.
